DUA TO SEEK PROTECTION FROM SHAYTAN

ENGLISH TRANSLATION

📖 In the Light of Qur'an and Hadith

🔹 The Dua (from the Qur'an):

> "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the whispers of the devils. And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me."

(Surah Al-Mu’minun 23:97-98)

📘 Explanation (Wazahat):

In this verse, Allah is teaching us to seek protection from the whispers (waswasah) of Shaytan.

The whispers are those evil thoughts, doubts, distractions in prayer, or urges to sin that Shaytan plants in our hearts.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would regularly seek Allah’s protection before entering the restroom, before reciting Qur’an, and during anger, as these are times Shaytan tries to influence us.

Remember: Shaytan is weak, but our nafs (ego) and negligence give him power. This dua cuts off his influence.

✨ Another Powerful Dua from Hadith:

> "A‘udhu billahi minash-shaytanir-rajim"

(I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed devil)

– This is what we say before reciting the Qur’an (Surah An-Nahl 16:98)

ROMAN URDU TRANSLATION

🔹 Qurani Dua:

> "Rabbi a'oozu bika min hamazatish shayateen. Wa a'oozu bika Rabbi an yahduroon."

(Surah Al-Mu’minun 23:97-98)

📖 Wazahat (Tashreeh):

Is dua mein hum Allah se panah maangte hain Shaitan ke waswason se — jo ke kabhi kabhi insaan ke dil mein gunah ki khwahish jagata hai.

Shaytan insaan ko namaz mein distract karta hai, gusse mein uksata hai, aur hasad, nafrat, ghibat jaise gunahon ki taraf le jaata hai.

Ye dua ek roohani hisaar (spiritual shield) hai — jab dil se maangi jaye, to Allah Ta'ala insaan ko har burai se mahfooz rakhte hain.

Nabi ﷺ ne humein sikhaya ke jab bhi gussa aaye, to "A‘udhu billahi minash-shaytanir-rajim" kehkar Allah se panah maango.
