*When is the Next Lunar Eclipse?*

The next total lunar eclipse is scheduled for the night of *September 7–8, 2025*. This celestial event, often referred to as a "Blood Moon" due to the reddish hue the Moon acquires, will be visible across large parts of Asia, Africa, Europe, and Australia. The totality phase will last approximately *82 minutes*, making it one of the longest total lunar eclipses of the decade. [1]

*Why Does a Lunar Eclipse Occur?*

A lunar eclipse happens when the *Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon*, causing the Earth's shadow to fall on the Moon. This alignment blocks sunlight from directly reaching the Moon, resulting in the eclipse.

*Islamic Perspective on Lunar Eclipses*

In Islam, eclipses are considered signs of Allah's power and serve as reminders of the Day of Judgment. They are not viewed as omens or linked to specific worldly events.

3. *Seek Forgiveness:* Repent for past sins and ask for Allah's mercy.

4. *Give Charity:* Assist those in need as a means of seeking Allah's pleasure.

*اگلا چاند گرہن کب ہے؟*

اگلا مکمل چاند گرہن *7 اور 8 ستمبر 2025* کی رات کو ہوگا۔ یہ قدرتی واقعہ ایشیا، افریقہ، یورپ اور آسٹریلیا کے بڑے حصوں میں دیکھا جا سکے گا۔ گرہن کا مکمل مرحلہ تقریباً *82 منٹ* تک جاری رہے گا، جو اس دہائی کے طویل ترین چاند گرہنوں میں سے ایک ہے۔

*چاند گرہن کیوں ہوتا ہے؟*

جب زمین سورج اور چاند کے درمیان آ جاتی ہے اور اپنی سایہ چاند پر ڈالتی ہے تو چاند گرہن واقع ہوتا ہے۔ اس دوران سورج کی روشنی چاند تک نہیں پہنچ پاتی، جس سے چاند گرہن ہوتا ہے۔

*اسلام میں چاند گرہن کا تصور*

اسلام میں چاند اور سورج کے گرہن کو اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے ایک سمجھا جاتا ہے۔ یہ قیامت کے دن کی یاد دہانی کے طور پر آتے ہیں اور کسی کی موت یا زندگی سے منسلک نہیں ہوتے۔

*قرآنی حوالہ:*

اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتے ہیں:

> *"جب نگاہیں خیرہ ہو جائیں گی، اور چاند بے نور ہو جائے گا، اور سورج اور چاند کو ملا دیا جائے گا: اس دن انسان کہے گا، 'پناہ کہاں ہے؟'"*

*حدیث کا حوالہ:*

حضرت محمد ﷺ نے فرمایا:

> *"سورج اور چاند اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے دو نشانیاں ہیں۔ یہ کسی کی موت یا زندگی کی وجہ سے گرہن میں نہیں آتے۔ جب تم انہیں دیکھو تو نماز پڑھو اور اللہ سے دعا کرو۔"*

*چاند گرہن کے دوران کرنے کے اعمال*

1. *نماز خسوف ادا کریں:* دو رکعت کی خاص نماز جماعت کے ساتھ ادا کریں۔

2. *ذکر اور دعا میں مشغول ہوں:* اللہ کا ذکر کریں اور دعا مانگیں۔

3. *توبہ و استغفار کریں:* اپنے گناہوں کی معافی مانگیں۔

4. *صدقہ دیں:* ضرورت مندوں کی مدد کریں۔
